If Italian is not your thing, Shish, which specialises in Eastern food from along the Silk Route are doing a similar thing. For as little as £12.50 you can pick up a neatly packaged “light bites” hamper, which includes cold mezze, drinks and bread, or a more substantial deluxe hamper (£19.50) which offers a choice of wraps, salads, mezze and drinks. Shish’s Old Street restaurant (313-319 Old Street, 020 7749 0999) is right next to trendy Hoxton Square and within striking distance of other parks.
